Locating lead subnautica12/2/2023 ![]() ![]() I just think the bits about the prisoners and infighting amongst themselves sounds an awful lot like the heretics are Void-aligned. It'll be fun to see what Blizzard has up its sleeve, for sure. Different flora and fauna than Kalimdor, but not necessarily evil. It could be a continent full of diversity. ![]() It's probably not just a continent full of Old God forces that we get to launch an invasion on, Omaha Beach style. I will grant you, though, that the real answer probably isn't as black and white as I made it sound. We are exactly like them in every regard, but good." Would players really enjoy an expansion that tells them: "Actually, those Keepers you aided for 20 years are the bad guys. I'm also not sure where it would lead us. Not sure if the Keepers or the Titanforged even could dissent from the Pantheon, unless corrupted and stuff? They're beings of Order after all, seems like sticking to the plan is part of their whole deal. Why would emancipated Titanforged fight among themselves? And why would fighting them compromise the Old Gods' prisons? And would there really be so many of them that Odyn and his forces would meet such a strong resistance, as described in the text? Titan-forged Heretics who managed to save data on how the planet was before the Titans changed everything might solve all our current problems & pave the way for that world revamp. Then does that mean my theory that the Djaradin that got the curse of flesh became trolls, is true? Djaradin don't have flesh but they are a naturally occurring race that has a few troll-like affectations.I suppose that can't be ruled out. Why do you assume the "Heretics" from Avaloren Odyn talked about are evil? For all we know they are simply Titan-forged who don't like his "purge them all" management style. Titan-forged Heretics who managed to save data on how the planet was before the Titans changed everything might solve all our current problems & pave the way for that world revamp. ![]() Because it would make sense to leave the story of the Void behind us, and save Azeroth from corruption, before opening up an entire new era for Warcraft. Why do you assume the "Heretics" from Avaloren Odyn talked about are evil? For all we know they are simply Titan-forged who don't like his "purge them all" management style. A world revamp might actually fit better for the latter part of the expansion, if one is coming. However, the main campaign likely will involve the theme of "the world is in distress, and we need to save it from within" somehow. It could include the elements as well as a world revamp, but it's not a requirement. We'll encounter fish, naga, pirates, and servants of the Void. It's difficult to tell if it'll be as refugees seeking a new home, inquisitors intent on purging the land of Avaloren from evil, or explorers travelling the seas in search for riches. ![]()
